Come Celebrate!!! Come Celebrate AGRICULTURE this week with us this Wednesday, July 20, 3-7pm, at the Mount Airy Main Street Farmers’ Market. Learn ways to grow your garden from the Carroll County Master Gardeners. Celebrate and learn from the farmers and producers about their locally grown, farm fresh products.

Also this Week! Celebrating Agriculture with a FREE SCREENING of FARMLAND. Did you know that there's also a Free Screening of FARMLAND, the film at the  Carroll County Library, Mt. Airy Branch this Thursday, July 21, 6:30-9:00 PM? We invite you to watch the documentary Farmland, an intimate look at the lives of farmers and ranchers and their passion for a way of life that has been passed down from generation to generation, yet continues to evolve. A short discussion will follow the screening. Light Refreshments will be served.

Come on down to the market this Wednesday where you will find our farmers and producers with their local farm-fresh foods and goods, plus listen to sweet sounds of Miranda Judd, Maryland musician while you Buy Local and Eat Fresh!

The market is located in the Railyard  behind the historic Mount Airy train station at 3 North Main Street, Mount Airy and is convenient to parking in the Municipal Parking Lot off of Park Avenue and in the Bank Parking Lot across Main Street.

Willow Creek Manor Farming - Get your garden salad fixings at Willow Creek Manor Farm! Our local Certified-Organic farm out of New Windsor brought Tomatoes, Cherry Tomatoes, Grape Tomatoes, Turnips, Radishes, Scallions, Spring Onions, Summer Squash, Patti Pan Squash, Eight Ball Squash, Romaine Hearts, Lettuce Mix, Sugar Snap Peas, Black Raspberries and More in the last weeks!  On their nearby New Windsor farm, one of the largest certified-organic farms in Maryland, the Snyder family grows Tomatoes, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Cucumbers, Radishes, Pie Pumpkins, Turnips, Beets, Green Squash, Pan Squash, 10 different Winter Squash, Herbs, Potatoes and so much more naturally grown goodness.

Five Points Farm Market & Greenhouse – This week Five Points is bringing Sweet Corn, Green Beans, Candy Onions, Red Potatoes, Tomatoes, Cherry Tomatoes (mixed colors), Beets, Squash, Patty Pan Squash, Zuchinni, Peppers, Eggplant, Cucumbers, Cabbage, Blueberries, Cantaloupe, Watermelon, White Nectarines, White Peaches, Yellow Peaches, and Shiro Yellow Plums, Cut flowers and more!  Five Points Farm Market and Greenhouse accepts WIC FMNP and Senior FMNP Checks for fruits and vegetables.

Pong’s Orchard – Last week  Pong’s Orchard returned to the market with blueberries and peaches!!!  Known as Howard County's secret garden, Fulton-based Pong's Orchard is well-known in Maryland for growing Citrus Plants, exotic fruits and their Asian pears along with other fruits of the season.  As the season grows strong, Pong’s Orchard will bring their locally grown fruit - Asian Pears, Peaches, Plums, Nectarines, Figs, Apples and More! Pong’s Orchard accepts WIC FMNP and Senior FMNP checks for their farm-fresh, locally grown and nutritious fruit.

The Meat Shack at Strohmer's Farm - Pork, Beef, Goat and a Plentiful Supply of Duck and Chicken Eggs – Lately, The Meat Shack has been bringing a variety of their farm-fresh, naturally produced meats including pork sausage and more!  Wonder what they’re bringing this week? A variety of their farm-fresh meats, from pork sausage, bacon, ham steaks, all pork hot dogs, hot Italian sausage, ground beef, beef cubes, ground goat and more!  Special Orders are accepted for Strip Steaks and Chicken Parts.

Whispering Breeze Farm - This Taneytown-based farm owned by Brower family has some of the best local cheese around! Furnace Hills Coffee – The last few weeks Furnace Hills Coffee had dollar shots ... shots of espresso, that is! Wonder what Regina will have this week?  Furnace Hills offers a variety of freshly roasted and ground pound bags of coffee plus freshly brewed Hot and Cold Coffee Drinks and Burlap Hand Bags.

The Kombucha Lady (of Dodson's Promised Land Farm) - Delicious flavors of Kombucha - The Kombucha Lady, Liz Dodson, will be bringing a variety of freshly made Kombucha, a fermented tea (a probiotic) made with seasonal fruits and white or black teas. Delicious and Healthy too!

The Pizza Llama - Woodfired Pizza! – ANDREW’S BACK and he said this week he’s trying some new PIZZA LLAMA recipes! Wonder if we’ll he’ll be jolly as he makes holly pizza??? It’s “seasonally” decorated with Jalapeños, Cilantro, Green Onions, Cherry Tomatoes and Mozzarella! Offering wood-fired pizza on-site while you wait! The Pizza Llama uses farm-fresh ingredients and much of the time, those ingredients are coming from the farmers and producers at the market!

Miranda Judd, Maryland Musician. For the second time this season, our patrons may enjoy listening to the Sweet Sounds of Miranda Judd, Maryland Musician. Miranda's music cuts across multiple generations. Her individual performance style is largely rooted in Country, Alternative, Classic and Light Rock and Pop genres. Miranda can easily belt out Patsy Cline's "Crazy" and Janis Joplin's "Bobby McGee" in addition to singing her own songs. A local favorite to the agricultural community, Miranda has been supporting the local farms for the past three years by performing at farmers' markets, Larriland Farm's fall festivals, the Lisbon Christmas Horse Parade and the Lisbon Farmers Feed the Hungry Christmas Tractor Parade.

Have you been on Main to tour, shop, dine and enjoy all that our Town's Main Street has to offer? Have you been to Concetta’s Mainstreet Bistro? Owner, Jeff, and his staff put so much care into everything they make. They use local, farm fresh veggies from Knill’s Farm. Be sure, if you are on Main Street, to stop in to say “Hi” to Jeff and to eat... and tell him the farmers’ market sent you his way!!!


The Mount Airy Main Street Farmers' Market was formed in 2007 and is a production of the Mount Airy Main Street Association.   The 2016 Mount Airy Main Street Farmers' Market runs on Wednesdays, June 1-September 7, 2016, 3 - 7 p.m. It is located in the historic Town of Mount Airy, Maryland in the parking area behind the historic Mount Airy train station and nearby the Blossom and Basket Boutique at 3 North Main Street, Mount Airy, MD 21771.
