Abundant Harvest at the Mount Airy Main Street Farmers' Market; Moved to New Location!

Cockle-Doodle-Doo!  We have moved!  
As of today, June 7, the Mount Airy Main Street Farmers' Market is located in the Mount Airy Municipal Lot at the Cross Street entrance adjacent to Park Avenue.  This location boasts of more parking as well as a better walkable lot than the former location behind the historic Mount Airy train station!  So, come one, come all every Wednesday, 3-7 PM to the Mount Airy Main Street Farmers' Market and visit our new home!

Whether you're shopping for fresh-picked, local produce, including  strawberries, beets, onions, asparagus cheese, meat, eggs, baked goods and honey, or you're at the market to pick up some plants, we've got you covered with this and more!

Today, we're celebrating the historic railroad history in Mount Airy!  We'll have some brochures, and invite you to walk the Rails-to-Trails.  Weather-Permitting, we'll have the Duo, Larry and Mary Hushour, performing some railroad tunes at the market.  Larry  - now a town councilman - and Mary have been instrumental in working on the Rails-to-Trails project and also with restoring MacKenzie, the Caboose. Mary has even written a song about it!
