MUSIC AT THE MARKET: 4:00PM-6:00PM - Our featured local musician will be Steven Gellman! We love Steven! He's graciously become a regular at the market. Recognized by BILLBOARD MAGAZINE as an “Essential for fans of sensitive acoustic music.... Gellman has sort of a John Denver-ish voice in the way he hangs on to a note and floats the vibrato and carries the sentiment of his lyrics.”

TODAY'S RECIPE & NUTRITION TIP!  Baked Acorn Squash with Apple Stuffing from AllRecipes.Com. Keep this recipe in your back pocket for when the weather gets chilly! Makes a great side dish with a pork roast!

"Acorn squash is a small variety of winter squash named for its resemblance to a large acorn. Its firm, yellow-orange flesh has a mellow, sweet flavor that pairs well in dishes containing bacon, garlic, maple syrup or spices such as sage or nutmeg. The American Dietetic Association lists winter squash as one of the best sources of the antioxidant beta carotene. Acorn squash contains vitamin A, niacin, folate, thiamine and vitamin B-6, but it is an especially good source of vitamin C." ~ "Healthy Facts about Acorn Squash" from SFGate's Healthy Eating.
