 It's beginning to feel a lot like Fall! Join us at the market this Wednesday, September 20 3-7PM to say Goodbye Summer, Hello Fall as this week brings the changing of the seasonal guard! We're in the Mount Airy Municipal Parking Lot, Park Avenue & Cross Street, Mount Airy, MD 21771. This Wednesday also marks the second to last market day of the season. We know, right!?! So, we're gonna make it special in a seasonal kind of way. Pong's Orchard will be selling jugs of Apple Cider brought to you locally by Carroll County's own Baugher's Orchard. There will be a limited supply this week and next, so you'll want to stop by Pong's to get yours while you can!
LOCAL GIRL SCOUT TROOP TALKS MOUNT AIRY PARKS! 4:00-7:00PM Come learn about the local Mount Airy Parks; and the special project that our local Girl Scout troop is doing to increase awareness of Windy Ridge Park!  SEPTEMBER HARVEST SEASON: What does Late September bring? It brings of the Summer Harvest, and beginning of the Fall Crops! The Fruits of the Season you may see at the market this Wednesday are: Apples, Asian Pears, Blackberries, Cantaloupes, Grapes, Honeydew, Peaches, Pears, Plums, Raspberries and Watermelon. In addition, you'll find a lot of farm-fresh veggies such as: Grean Beans, Beets, Brussels Sprouts, Cabbage, Carrots, Cauliflower, Chard (Swiss), Collards, Corn, Cucumbers, Eggplant, Herbs, Garlic, Lettuces, Okra, Onions, Peas, Peppers, Radishes, Potatoes, Pumpkins, Spinach, Summer Squash (Zucchini, Yellow), Winter Squash (Butternut, Acorn), Sweet Potatoes and Tomatoes.
