July's Abundant Harvest Shows Her Pretty Face at Mount Airy Main Street Farmers' Market Wednesday, Child Safety Seat Check

Wow! Have we got a great market happening this Wednesday, July 19, 3-7 PM at the Mount Airy Main Street Farmers' Market, now located in the Mount Airy Municipal Parking Lot at Park Avenue and Cross Street, Mount Airy, MD!

Protect your precious cargo, your children, through the Free Child Safety Seat Inspection, hosted by the Mount Airy Main Street Farmers' Market, 3:00-6:30 PM! 

Sponsored by the Cheryl A. Cates Insurance Agency (Sheri Cate's State Farm office), inspectors from Carroll 

County Safe Kids will be checking to see if the seats are installed correctly and give you helpful hints.  ***It is recommended but not required that you bring owners manuals for car seat and vehicle***

MUSIC: Darla Jean and the Somethin' or Others will be playing some good ol' timey tunes at the market from somethin' like 3:30 to 'bout 6:00.

COMMUNITY:  Ask a Master Gardener! The Carroll County Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer all of your gardening questions! From soil preparation, to types of plants, watering techniques and more, you'll want to come visit the master gardeners at the market.

Looking for something to eat while you're visiting the market? We have - in addition to all the farm-freshness, we have some delectable baked goods and wood-fired pizza ready in minutes!  Can you taste it? Mmmm...Mmmm!

WHAT'S IN SEASON? Well, at the market it varies, but we're looking at an excellent chance that our farmers will have fresh-picked blueberries, cherries, blackberries, peaches, nectarines cantaloupes, watermelons, corn, tomatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, summer squash, zucchini, peppers, eggplant, cucumbers, greens, onions, herbs and other locally grown, farm-fresh fruits & veggies.

Locally Grown, Farm-Freshness is what this market is about.  Our vendors are nearby, within Greater Mount Airy region encompassing the four counties (Carroll, Frederick, Howard and Montgomery), Baltimore County and Adams County, Pennsylvania. All within a 50-mile radius of the market.  They bring with them their locally grown/produced products, such as fruits, vegetables, cheeses, eggs, meats, plants, honey, baked goods, jams & jellies, coffee, wines, flowers, plants and more!
