Greater Mount Airy Community Embraces Ellicott City, Celebrates Maryland’s Farmers’ Market Week at August 10th Mount Airy Main Street Farmers' Market
This Wednesday, August 10th, in addition to celebrating the Maryland Farmers’ Market week Mount Airy Main Street Farmers' Market, we are continuing to reach out to you - the Greater Mount Airy Community – to ask you to come together at the Mount Airy Main Street Farmers’ Market in support of our neighboring Main Street community in Ellicott City. We’re collecting non-perishable food items and essentials for the victims, monetary donations and more to be passed directly to the victims through the designated organizations entrusted with assisting the businesses and people displaced by the flooding.
Come on down to the market this Wednesday, August 10, 3-7 pm, where you will find our farmers and producers with their local farm-fresh foods and goods, listen to live, local folk music performed by Amy & Mitch, the Cyman Duo.

Willow Creek Manor Farming - Get your "garden salad" (fixin's) and a whole lot more at Willow Creek Manor Farm! Our local Certified-Organic farm out of New Windsor brought Tomatoes, Cherry Tomatoes, Grape Tomatoes, Turnips, Radishes, Scallions, Spring Onions, Summer Squash, Patti Pan Squash, Eight Ball Squash, Romaine Hearts, Lettuce Mix, Sugar Snap Peas, Black Raspberries and More in the last several weeks! On their nearby New Windsor farm, one of the largest certified-organic farms in Maryland, the Snyder family grows Tomatoes, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Cucumbers, Radishes, Pie Pumpkins, Turnips, Beets, Green Squash, Pan Squash, 10 different Winter Squash, Herbs, Potatoes and so much more naturally grown goodness.
Five Points Farm Market & Greenhouse – What will Five Points Farm Market and Greenhouse bring this week to the market? Last week Five Points brought Tomatoes, Yellow Tomatoes, Heirloom Tomatoes, Cherry Tomatoes, Red Potatoes, Green Beans, Wax Beans, Yellow Squash, Zucchini, Red Beets, Bell Peppers, Hot Peppers, Red Onions, Candy Onions, Cantloupe, Watermelon, Freestone Peaches, White Freestone Peaches, White Nectarines, Sweet Corn, Cucumbers, Cut Flowers. The Meat Shack at Strohmer's Farm - Pork, Beef, Goat and a Plentiful Supply of Duck and Chicken Eggs – Lately, The Meat Shack has been bringing a variety of their farm-fresh, naturally produced meats including pork sausage and more! Wonder what they’re bringing this week? A variety of their farm-fresh meats, from pork sausage, bacon, ham steaks, all pork hot dogs, hot Italian sausage, ground beef, beef cubes, ground goat and more! Special Orders are accepted for Strip Steaks and Chicken Parts.

This Wednesday, to help the victims in need, the Mount Airy Main Street Farmers' Market will:
1. Collect the following items to donate to Howard County Community Action Council:
3. Take up a monetary collection to assist victims. 100% of the financial donation will go to the Ellicott City Partnership and will be used to assist merchants and residents with flood recovery.
We realize that this is a small contribution, but also know that every little bit helps. We hope that you - the community - will come together at the Mount Airy Main Street Farmers' Market for this worthy cause.
