We’ve felt the vibe at the market with local music and a great mix of farmers and producers from our local four-county region and beyond. We’ve enjoyed hosting community-based activities and having you - the Greater Mount Airy community - join us at the market every Wednesday this summer! We are honored to let you know that two of Maryland’s cabinet members, Maryland Secretary of Planning Wendi Peters and Maryland Department of Agriculture Secretary Joe Bartenfelder, and others have heard some wonderful things about our newly expanded 15-week market and will be joining us in the late afternoon to take in all the market has to offer! Please join us in giving them a big Greater Mount Airy community welcome! Our market is going to be full of wonderment and excitement this Wednesday for sure! This Wednesday, we’re hosting The Connor Stone Band, a hot alternative band from Frederick County! This group adds a tremendous vibe with their awesome, harmonizing voices and includes Connor Stone, Billy Bristor and local duo, Stag & Owl! We are so delighted to have this talented group of musicians with us to end our first season as an expanded, all inclusive, 4-county community farmers’ market! Make our Soldiers Smile … We’re hosting Treats for our Troops this week who will be adding a wonderful family activity this week. For kids of all ages, lift the spirits of our soldiers and give them something to smile about! You and your family will enjoy creating a cards for our military troops!
