It's in the Railyard behind the historic Mount Airy Train Station at 3 North Main Street ... where you can Buy Local, Eat Fresh and Stay a While at the Mount Airy Main Street Farmers' Market! Whether you're shopping for fresh-picked, local produce, including  strawberries or rhubarb, cheese, meat, eggs, baked goods and honey, or you're at the market to pick up some plants, we've got you covered with this and more!

This week, we're honored to have the Maryland National Guard who will be collecting Wares for Warriors, for the  their families in need of heroes and the heroes themselves, who are recovering at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center... This is your opportunity to let our heroes and their families that you appreciate their service and sacrifice.

Just as naturally sweet as Strawberries and Honey or as today's Mild Weather, we're starting to see our local seasonal, early harvest come in!

Today at the Mount Airy Main Street Farmers' Market, its a day of celebrating the early harvest - strawberries, rhubarb, asparagus, spinach, radishes, spring onions and more will show their pretty faces this Wednesday at the market. We also have Cheeses; Meats; Eggs; Breads; Baked
Goods (Mmmm... have you tried Sugar Thumbs pastries - highly recommend them!); Local Honey; some cool, Raw Bite sized snacks by Fat by Nature; Wood-fired Pizza; Falafels, Flowers; Plants; Herbs; and last but not least, Distilled products from right here in Mount Airy!

We're as Eggcited as can be! That's because our 2017 farmers' market season is kicking off today at 3:00 PM sharp as the Mount Airy Main Street Farmers' Market begins its newly expanded 20-week season with 25 vendors throughout the season.

Today, as you stroll through the marketplace, you will have the opportunity to meet new vendors, talk to old ones (and young ones), eat wood-fired pizza, falafels, taste local honey, baked goods and experience a variety of farmers with their farm-fresh products including plants [annuals, perennials, veggies and herbs]! 

For your listening pleasure, Darla Jean & The Somethin' or Others will be serenading the market and the Master Gardeners will provide gardening expertise on-site!
