Cherries and Blueberries will make a brief appearance in Week Four of the "New" 15-Week Mount Airy Main Street Farmers' Market where you may Buy Local, Eat Fresh, and Stay a While! The market is located in the Railyard behind the historic Mount Airy train station at 3 North Main Street, Mount Airy and is convenient to parking in the Municipal Parking Lot off of Park Avenue and in the Bank Parking Lot across Main Street. Come on down to the market this Wednesday, June 22, 3-7 pm, where you will find our farmers and producers with their local farm-fresh foods and goods, listen to the light alternative rock of our awesome local open mic musician, Austin Bristor; and, learn about our local rail history, the Old Main Line and take a walk on the Rails-to-Trails line between the market in the Railyard and Watkins Park. Rain or Shine ... this week's farmers and producers are: Willow Creek Manor Farming - Our local Certified-Organic farm out of New Windsor brought tomatoes, turnips, radish, scallions, garlic tips, lettuce mix and more last week, let's see what they bring to Week Four! On their nearby New Windsor farm, one of the largest certified-organic farms in Maryland, the Snyder family grows Tomatoes, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Cucumbers, Radishes, Pie Pumpkins, Turnips, Beets, Green Squash, Pan Squash, 10 different Winter Squash, Herbs, Potatoes and so much more naturally grown goodness. Five Points Farm Market & Greenhouse - Featured this week: Cherries and Blueberries! There is a limited supply, so come get them while you can!
