RAIN ~OR~SHINE! May we find that a Beautiful Rainbow Shine on us, and on the end, a Pot o' Gold, the Mount Airy Main Street Farmer's Market this Wednesday, September 6, 2017, 3-7PM. We're in the Mount Airy Municipal Parking Lot, Park Avenue & Cross Street, Mount Airy, MD 21771.

SEPTEMBER'S HARVEST MOON - Tonight, if the clouds move on ... look up at September's Harvest Moon. It is the first full moon of the fall harvest season. Why is it called a Harvest Moon? The abundance of bright moonlight early in the evening was a traditional aide to farmers and crews harvesting their summer-grown crops, hence the “Harvest” Moon. Now you know!

MUSIC AT THE MARKET: 3:30 - 6:00 PM
Local Musician, Garrett Mabe, will be filling the marketplace with his renditions of classic and light rock songs!  Garrett is no stranger to the locals as he performs at a number of local venues, both as a solo artist and with his band, The Garrett Mabe Trio along with other bands, such as The Spokes.  Let's hope we have lots o' sunshine because Garrett Mabe is part of that Pot o' Gold you'll find at the Mount Airy Main Street Farmers' Market this Wednesday!

Given the current forecast, what are the chances of the market taking place tomorrow (9/13)?

Debbie, It looks like the forecast for 9/13 is overcast, with a passing shower around 2PM. Our policy is rain or shine, but it is really up to our vendors whether they will be at the market in inclement weather.
